A Deep Diver into Water: Dinner Forum with Maria Espinoza & Victorino Centeno
Saturday Oct 26th, Dinner at 6:30, Presentation at 7:30
Summit-Chatham Friends Meeting, 158 Southern Blvd, Chatham
In August our delegation traveled up to the “Los Corozales” communities in Nicaragua’s northern Segovia Mountains to hand-delivered $10,000 to help bring potable drinking water to 220 families. About a third of all rural Nicaraguans do not have access to clean water to drink, bath and cook.
But access to potable water is not just a problem in Nicaragua. The World Health Organization reports that 27% of the world’s nearly 8 billion people do not have access to potable water.
In a world of such technological wonders, why can’t access to water, a fundamental human right, be universal? Why not in Nicaragua?
Nicaragua-based development experts Maria Espinoza and Victorino Centeno led our delegation to Los Corozales. Join us on Saturday, October 26th for a dinner forum and Zoom with Maria and Victorino. They have a lot to say about water and how to get it to those who need it most.
Can’t make it? Help us fully meet our financial commitment to the project. Only $4000 more needed. Donate here.
