Saturday December 14th, 6:30pm, Chatham-Summit Friends Meeting, 158 Southern Blvd, Chatham Township, NJ 07928, Suggested Donation $15, Kids Free
It’s the holiday season and what better way to get through the post-election blues than in solidarity and fellowship with the PeaceWorks community.
Come out on December 14th to have a meal and participate in a conversation with Quixote Center’s Kim Lamberty. Kim will help us all think more deeply about our advocacy work and the state of US politics as it relates to Nicaragua and Central America.
The PeaceWorks community has watched governments in the US and Central America come and go for more than 30 years. Yet, poverty and exploitation persist. But changes are coming on the national stage, again, and we’ll continue to keep an eye on what’s happening. In the PeaceWorks tradition, we’ll also keep the focus on the people-to-people work that has transformed lives and generated enormous joy and happiness for people in Nicaragua and New Jersey.
