As all of the parents up here were getting their kids for another school year, the PeaceWorks community came together to equip children from the Inhijambia Program for Street Kids for school down there. In the past we physically sent school supplies down on shipping containers. In July we launched a “virtual shipment” campaign to raise money to buy backpacks, uniforms, shoes, school supplies, toiletries and everything else the kids in Nicaragua will need for school. By mid August we raised $10k to equip as many kids as we can for a successful year of learning.
