June 8th Dinner Forum with Corazon Contento

Sadly, in spite of everything we love about Nicaragua, it is a country with little awareness about people with disabilities and the issues they face. But there are those working for change.

Join PeaceWorks for a special dinner forum on Saturday June 8th with Patricia Fernandez Castro of Corazón Contento. Meaning HAPPY HEART, Corazón Contento is an organization in Granada, Nicaragua that’s been working for over a decade for the respect of the rights of people with disabilities.

Come hear about the enormous challenges that people with disabilities in Nicaragua face, as well as the work of Corazón Contento in physical therapy, psychological therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy for 300 children with disabilities and parenting school for their families.
