With deep sadness our dear friend Nancy Myska, 80, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022 surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Clark, New Jersey. So many of us had the enormous pleasure to know and work with Nancy – her loss will be felt for many years to come.
We’d like to extend sincere condolences to Nancy’s family. She was a member of the Peaceworks community going back to our beginnings in the early 1990s. She was a quiet, constant presence at our dinner events. She worked tirelessly on our shipment days, long days of packing and loading. She traveled to Nicaragua on delegations and when our co-founder, who also handled finances, died suddenly in 2014, Nancy took over financial matters until we found a permanent treasurer. We miss Nancy and will continue to miss her. She was one of us.
Per Nancy’s personal request, if you would like to make a donation to help continue supporting PeaceWork’s people-to-people mutual aid projects in Central America, just click here. Nancy has also asked that you please say a prayer and make a donation to a cause of your choice.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation in the Kowalski Funeral Home, 515 Roselle Street, Linden on Friday, March 4th. from 4:00-8:00PM. On Saturday, March 5th. at 8:15AM, everyone will start to gather in the funeral home where a prayer service will begin at 8:45AM, followed by the funeral mass to be offered in the Parish Community of St. Helen in Westfield at 10:00AM.
Rest in peace, dear friend. You will be greatly missed..
