March 9th Dinner Forum – Our 2019 Delegation to Nicaragua

Year after year PeaceWorks connects with our local partners in Nicaragua. In January 2019, six of our board members are traveling down to meet up with our dear friends, and plan our projects for the year – like getting a new potable water system for 100 families in Northern Nicaragua.

But unlike the last 26 years of PeaceWorks delegations, our partners and the people of Nicaragua are going through particularly difficult times. The political unrest has made it very difficult for people to do their work. There were times when getting to the office was a risky affair. Partners like the Mariposa Spanish School have had to close their doors when tourism dried up – seriously affecting their work with the Chispas de Vida Program for kids with disabilities.

Your support and solidarity is needed more than ever. So, come out to hear about what the six members of our delegation saw and heard.

Saturday evening, March 9th.  Dinner at 6:30, Program at 7:30

Summit-Chatham Friends Meeting, 158 Southern Blvd, Chatham, NJ.

$10 adults. Kids free.
