December 9th Dinner Forum: How Fair is the Trade? A $105B global coffee trade that has us hooked…others impoverished

There’s a lot going on with PeaceWorks this holiday!

As we officially launch our holiday coffee sale to power you and your loved ones through the year’s end, the PeaceWorks community will also take a close look at the global coffee trade. Join us on December 9th for a very special holiday dinner forum with  Director of the Quixote Center and global coffee expert, Kim Lamberty.

Kim will help us zoom out from the tiny community of 50 families that grow our holiday coffee on a mountaintop in Nicaragua to the realities of the global coffee trade, also discussing the challenges of small farmers like those PeaceWorks supports more broadly and the work of the Quixote Center.

How does the coffee market actually work? Why can’t coffee growers get ahead with a product that literally has the world hooked? Join us in-person at the Friends Meeting in Chatham or by Zoom no matter where you are. Dinner is at 6:00pm and our conversation with Kim at 7:00pm.
